About Me
Hi, I'm Emily, the face behind Viaduct Upholstery. A few years ago I took the leap and left my corporate job to follow my passion for design and textiles, and retrained as an upholsterer.
The pandemic made a lot of people rethink their careers and reassess what was important in their lives. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to do this and turned my hobby of making beautiful things for family and friends into a business.

I work mainly on commissions from customers across the North West, but I also love to rummage around antique and charity shops, looking for furniture to bring back to life. Its amazing what people decide to throw away – one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.
My work includes –
- Made to measure – cushions, window seats, bench seating
- Chaises and love seats
- Any kind of chair
- Fixed seating for your home or business
- Footstools, ottomans and anything else you might think of.

If you're considering having an item upholstered or something made to measure, visit the Upholstery Services and Fabric pages for more information to help you decide. I will be able to advise on what is most appropriate for your own piece of furniture.
